219 S Cedar St, downtown Summerville is the home to this magical craft cocktail bar. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported via music and decor to a vintage paradise with delicious drinks and bites.
Inspired by the Azalea Magazine, this cocktail lounge and its unique, warm atmosphere offer local beer, a curated wine list, delicious cocktails and a small bites menu that features some Southern favorites.
Vintage Vibes

Azalea hosts bourbon tastings and other pop up events, for holidays like New Year’s Eve as well as for the Kentucky Derby, Jazz nights or even a Harry Potter themed takeover. Whatever the occasion, Azalea makes an interesting stop to add to your daily itinerary.
Margarita Flatbread Pizza

The snack portion of their menu includes a variety of flatbreads, jalapeño cornbread, dips&spreads and a little something for your sweet tooth. Everything they offer is light and inviting. The perfect combo to pair with your cocktails and not feel weighed down afterwards.
We have sampled a few things from their small bites menu, and while their flatbreads are cheesy and flavorful we find ourselves crawling back to dessert every time. More often than not we stop in after dinner to extend an evening away or to stave off the need to prepare dinner at home for the night.

In addition to the outdoor Garden space, The Azalea Bar has a champagne room with a bubbles inspired cocktail menu of it’s own. While it’s a separate room with a separate cocktail list, the full menu is available in both spaces. Opening up your options to try something fresh no matter your seat.
Their cocktail menu offers classics and a multitude of original cocktails curated by their staff, making it boarder-line impossible not to find something to drink you love.
Time stands still
Whether it’s date night or just a few stolen hours away from the world, time is well spent at the Azalea Bar. It truly is always a break from reality, where we can really enjoy each other’s company and imbibe as well.
We often get sucked into conversation and the beautifully crafted drinks on an evening out, but where better than a local spot closer to home? Azalea allows us to extend our time together that could have been spent in the car on the way into Charleston.

If you haven’t been, I whole-heartedly recommend their cheesecakes—even as take out to enjoy at home. And that’s coming from someone who’s not a huge cheesecake girl, but with that crust and bourbon caramel? How can you go wrong?
They offer a variety of other sweets including a rotating dessert, a brownie and a few other variations to the NY Style Cheesecake pictured above.
